OUR STORY

Every Coaster Tells a Story

The Story

We rescued a stack of worn vintage vinyl records from a dusty estate-sale crate in Milwaukee — labels peeling, sleeves long gone — and asked ourselves a simple question: what if the label itself was the treasure? Each Zion Vintage Coaster preserves one of those authentic record labels in crystal-clear epoxy resin, mounted on a cork base that grips your table and protects your surfaces. No two are alike. Every one carries a piece of music history into your living room.

How It's Made

1. Source vintage records

We collect vintage vinyl from estate sales, thrift stores, and donations. Each record is inspected, cleaned, and the label is carefully removed — preserving decades of typography and forgotten album art.

2. Pour crystal-clear epoxy resin

The label is suspended in a custom mold and embedded in laboratory-grade epoxy resin. The pour cures slowly under controlled temperature to prevent bubbles and ensure a glassy, durable finish.

3. Cure, trim, and add cork backing

After a 72-hour cure, each coaster is hand-trimmed to a perfect 4.5-inch circle and bonded to a natural cork base. The result is a coaster that's roughly a quarter-inch thick, absorbs heat, and never scratches your furniture.
